Canadian Solar is committed to make the difference for local communities around the world by supporting people in need with donations. Red Cross initiatives We are pleased that we have been able to support hospitals and Red Cross Associations actively with a donation of masks, enabling them to protect themselves and their patients during this critical time. To support the global effort to fight COVID_19, Canadian Solar donated 6,000 N95 masks to the “Croce Rossa Italiana– Comitato di Milano”, the Italian Red Cross Association. Food donation in South Africa Furthermore Canadian Solar donated food parcels to underprivileged families in Western Cape, South Africa. In the suburbs of Cape Town, there are people living in poverty and facing unemployment, where many families are struggling to put food on the table.

Rice appeal initiative in Sierra Leone As a response to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, Canadian Solar has donated to the Rice Appeal fundraising program to help supplying rice for underprivileged families. The Lungi Sierra Leone Charity set up the fundraising program to raise money to feed the children in the Lungi area during the COVID-19 pandemic. Each 50 kg rice bag feeds a family circle of 6-10 people for approximately 1 month. Read more about the Rice Appeal. COVID-19 initiatives in Spain and Italy Canadian Solar is proud to have helped with a donation hospitals in Spain and Italy, to support the worldwide fight against coronavirus. Canadian Solar have acquired four high-resolution multiparameter monitors for Hospital La Paz located in Madrid, Spain. Hospital La Paz is one of the largest hospitals in Madrid treating patients with severe COVID-19. In Italy, the donation has been made to “ASST Fatebenefratelli Sacco” hospital which is an important public hospital in Milan, specialized in infectious diseases. Donation of food and hygiene packages Canadian Solar donated food and hygiene packages to 120 families in the Northern Cape, South Africa to help vulnerable families at this challenging time. These areas are extremely economically depressed and have little to no access to support or medical services. The COVID-19 pandemic and its consequences have been particularly severe for poor households. COVID-19 initiative in Munich COVID-19 has led to a global shortage of masks, which are essential for the healthcare sector. Canadian Solar have been able to support the hospital in Munich actively with a donation of masks, enabling them to protect themselves and their patients during this critical time. We are pleased that we have been able to support hospitals and Red Cross Associations actively with a donation of masks, enabling them to protect themselves and their patients during this critical time. Solar module donation in Sierra Leone In 2019 Canadian Solar donated solar modules for a new solar power of Evans Medical Center at Kirma, Lungi, Sierra Leone.
