Rovea Apartments - 15.27 kW Commercial Installation
More businesses are choosing to minimise their environmental impact, and their energy bills, by installing solar systems on their rooftops. A solar installation was a logical next step for the Rovea apartment building, as their building’s greatest demand for electricity is during the day. The Rovea Apartments Body Corporate Committee estimate that it will only take 4 years to recover the cost of the installation, and that this investment will save them up to 80% of on their electricity costs. This is a significant saving for a building with high energy needs, including lighting and pool heating. Canadian Solar Ku Max (CS3U-P) was chosen for this installation by Halcol Energy. This module uses Canadian Solar’s Ku-Module technology with dual-cell, dual-module design resulting in better shading tolerance and a lower hot-spot temperature. The Ku-Module range keep their cool under the Australian sun, for an efficient and reliable source of clean energy. Installers Halcol Energy interviewed Rovea Apartments Body Corporate Committee member Ray White on the benefits of this solar installation to the business. Watch the interview here.
